Best chocolate chip cookies
1 cup softened/room temp butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chunks or chips, I prefer dark chocolate but you can use semi-sweet or milk chocolate
Preheat oven to 375. Line cookie sheets with parchment or spray with cooking spray.
I large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Cream together in mixer butter and sugar, let this go for a couple of minutes. Then add in eggs, 1 at a time & vanilla until mixture is fluffy. Add in the flour mixture to the butter mixture 1 cup at a time. Finally add in chocolate chips. Lay out a long sheet of saran on the counter, and pour the mixture onto it. Wrap it to form a long cookie dough roll. Wrap it securely, then put in the fridge. After it has chilled, at least 30 minutes, you can slice & bake your cookies. You can keep the dough in the fridge for a week or so. Bake for 8 minutes, until just browned. Don't overcook! Take them out and let them cool for a couple of minutes before you transfer to a cooling rack. Eat while still warm.
