A 'Palau' on Survivor, (big fan) is a big BBQ cookout.  It was a reward in an early show years ago.  For their 'Palau,'  they had chicken, pork,  veggies & pineapple, if my memory is correct.  Now, whenever we do a big grilled meal, we refer to it as a Palau.  Generally, I do chicken, pork (country ribs) and sometimes a type of steak, and lots of veggies; bell peppers, onion (the best part), zucchini, squash, tomato - just whatever you have. I rarely do pineapple which I think is what makes the Palau the Palau.  But still, it's fun to call it a Palau.

I pound each of country pork ribs, chicken thighs

1 each yellow, red & orange bell pepper, sliced

1 large sweet onion, sliced

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1/4 cup Valentina

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon olive oil

S & P

Spray for grill

Mix BBQ, Valentina, garlic, S & P & olive oil,  spread all over chicken & pork. Let the meats marinade for at least an hour.  Spray your grill with spray to avoid sticking.  Grill the meat about 10-15 minutes on each side.  Add a little olive oil, S & P to veggies & let them cook while the meat is cooking, in a veggie grill pan (spray with cooking spray first).  Serve while nice & hot!
